Billy E. Keen, 87, of Snead, AL and Rockford, IL, died Tuesday, February 25, 2025, surrounded by his family in Snead, AL.

Born September 12,1937, in Keenes, IL, he was a son to Clarence and Helen (Austin) Keen. He is survived by his loving wife, Cena (Hunt) Keen; daughter, Michele Eells (Thomas Eells); grandchildren, Lance Keen (Ellen Keen), Chelsea Hougan, Chad Keen, and Hollie Martin; great-grandchildren, Ellie Keen and Lillie Keen; and sister, Vivian Carlough.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Douglas Keen; his brothers, Verl Keen, Bernie Keen, and sisters, Doris Hattenbach and Joann Abel.

Bill served in the Navy on an aircraft carrier during the Cuban missile crisis.  He retired from the United States Postal Service after 35 years as an Electronic Technician .  He enjoyed reading, especially westerns. You could often see him wearing his cowboy hat and boots.  He was also involved in serving in his local church as the church secretary.

There will be a Graveside Service on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Nixon's Chapel Cemetery on Bean Road in Horton, AL.
