Ms. Betty Jo (Scruggs) West, age 86 of The Nixon Chapel Community, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at The Folsom Center in Cullman.

She is survived by her son – Joey West (Tammy); daughter – Patty West; grandchildren – Brittany Harbin (Anthony), Nathan West (Taylor), and James Hampton; great grandchildren – Cannan 'Nash' West, Grayden Tyler Hampton, and Aleigha Freeman; sister – Linda Garrison (Wayne); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Ms. West is preceded in death by her parents – Freeman Presley and Mary Ruth (Pondexter) Scruggs; and siblings – O'Dell Montgomery, Verna Rae Cryer, Sam Scruggs, LD Scruggs, Donald 'Toad' Scruggs, Theral Scruggs, and Arvie Lee Scruggs.

Brother Danny Skillman and Brother Sam Ingram will conduct the Funeral Service on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends, at Snead Funeral Home, Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Thursday from 1:00 PM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Nathan West, James Hampton, Anthony Harbin, Jonathon Tapp, Braedy McCoy, and Justin Vincent.
