Mrs. Bertie Lou (Jackson) Morton, age 86 of Blountsville, AL., passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Morton was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church. She married Tom Morton on July 15, 1947 and retired from K.D. Industries in 1996.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law - Bertha Mae and Lawton Waldrep of Crane Hill, AL. and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Morton is preceded in death by her husband - Tom Morton, her parents - Albert Henry and Verdie (Bryant) Jackson, and her brothers - A.B. Jackson, Talmus Jackson, and Almas "Hood" Jackson.

Brother Bob Swain and Brother Chad Trammell will conduct the funeral service Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Morton will lie in repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Thursday from 12 (noon) until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be - Chad Trammell, Chris Trammell, Lamar Denney, Jimmy Harvey, Tony Harvey, Phil Bryant and Brandon Bryant.
