Obituary

Mrs. Alice Beverly Schmidt, age 86 of Susan Moore, AL., passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at her residence.

Alice Beverly (McCoy) Schmidt was born on January 24, 1929 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa to Daniel O'Brien McCoy & Nora Ellen (Wilson) McCoy. Mrs. Schmidt is of the Catholic Faith and Irish Descent. She is a Veteran of the United States Air Force. After her honorable discharge she remained a very dedicated military wife. Beverly loved to volunteer her time & work and did so throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her husband Neilan D. Schmidt; her son Robert Duane Schmidt, her parents Daniel O'Brien & Nora Ellen McCoy; and her siblings Margaret Patricia Harrington, Nora Ann Sandbrink, Daniel John McCoy, and Robert Francis McCoy.

Mrs. Schmidt is survived by her children Kathleen Campbell of Snead, AL., Patricia McQueen (Charles) of Kingwood, TX., Laura Schmidt of Houston, TX., Neil Schmidt of Kileen, TX., and Janet Schmidt of Susan Moore, AL.; her grandchildren Jaymes Campbell, Christopher Campbell, Kevin McQueen, Erin McQueen, Erik Finch, Rachel Finch, Nathan Schmidt, Christina Schmidt Miller, and Nicholas Schmidt; her great grandchildren: Austin Campbell, Justin Campbell, Autumn Campbell, James Campbell, Charlotte McQueen Reeves, Keegan McQueen Reeves, Ryosuke Finch, Shohei Finch, Gunner Schmidt Miller, Grace Schmidt Miller, and Ginger Schmidt Miller; and sister Mary Margaret (McCoy) McGuire.

Father Tim Pfander and Kathleen Campbell will conduct the funeral service on Friday, April 24, 2015 @ 12:15pm at the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Interment will be at Houston National Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11am until funeral time.

The service will include reading of scripture from the Old and New Testament by Father Pfander. Kathleen Campbell will give an astonishing eulogy of Mrs. Schmidt's life. The daughters have chosen 3 wonderful songs to be played which include "Hallelujah", "How Great Thou Art", and "Irish Eyes Are Smiling." Immediately after the service the family invites everyone to eat lunch with them at the Snead Senior Center located one block south of the funeral home.
