Mrs. Ailene Gibbs Brown, age 96 of Altoona, AL., passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at St. Vincent's East Hospital in Birmingham.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law – Harold and Mae Brown of Altoona, AL., her grandchildren – Timothy Thrower, Teresa Evans (Buddy), Dennis Brown, and David Brown (Melanie); her great grandchildren – Greg Evans, Jason Evans, Christopher Brown, and Kristina Brown; her great great-grandchildren – Dalynn Evans and Tyler Evans; her sister – Bonnie Narimore of Snead, AL., her sister-in-law – Lillie Mae Brown of Snead, AL., her brother-in-law – Dee Brown (Ruby) of Susan Moore, AL., and her sister-in-law – Pearl Brown of Snead, AL.

Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband – Dennis Brown, her parents – Hugh and Odessa (Hobson) Gibbs, and her brothers – Guy Gibbs and Bill Gibbs.

Brother Randy Burtram will conduct the Funeral Service on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 1:00 PM at The Chapel of The Snead Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.  Mrs. Brown will Lie In Repose, at Snead Funeral Home, Tuesday from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM until Funeral Time.

Pallbearers will be – Dennis Brown, David Brown, Chris Brown, Jason Evans, Greg Evans, and Jim Pruitt.
